As with many other sports leagues and recreational activities, our current Covid-19 protocols have changed.
Loudoun County Ends Mask Requirement in All County Facilities
Posted on February 26, 2022 at 11:55 AM by Nancy McCormick
Effective immediately, Loudoun County no longer requires members of the public to wear a face mask while inside Loudoun County-owned and -operated facilities. Additionally, the social distancing requirement inside county facilities is also ended.
Loudoun County’s lifting of the COVID-19 mitigation measures is based on new guidance issued February 25, 2022, by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) that updates the metrics used to determine the impact of the virus that causes COVID-19 on a community. The CDC’s updated list of U.S. counties showing community impact indicates Loudoun County is now experiencing a “low” level of impact. In accordance with the Board of Supervisors’ February 1 vote to follow CDC guidance regarding the use of masks inside county facilities, the requirement is ended.
Based on the preceding Loudoun County News Release.
Our board has made the following decision. Since our sport is an outdoor sport and there is currently no governmental mask mandate in place in our local, LLGSL has no mask mandate in place. Nor do we have any social distancing requirements.
This decision may be revisited and changed at any time should there be any change made by the County Government or State Government in their recommendations. Please remember that you, the participant, or parent/guardian of a participant, must make the ultimate decision relating to your own health. Should you decide to wear a mask, or social distance that is your choice and we will accept your decision.
We continue to ask all our participants, if you are sick, or have been exposed to an individual with a confirmed case of covid, please err on the side of caution and refrain exposing your teammates and coaches. Inform your coach and please stay home till recovered.
