Notes about status lines.

Facility and field status is updated at 3 p.m. on weekdays and 7 a.m. on weekends. All sites are reviewed daily for possible status changes; however, they are only updated in the system when the status changes. If rain or inclement weather occurs after the listed times, the game or practice may be a game time decision, made by the coaches and or umpire as to the playability of the field.

Thunder/lightening rule

·         Thunder and Lightning: Games and practices will be stopped immediately if lightning is seen or thunder is heard from the field. In the event the game or practice is at a complex of multiple fields, any event being cancelled because of dangerous weather conditions shall be considered grounds to stop all activities. You must wait 30 minutes before allowing play to resume. If there is another clap of thunder or lightning is seen again the “wait clock” is restarted. You may NOT wait it out in the dugout or bleachers. You should return to your vehicle or other safe area.

·         Should the National Weather Service issue a Severe Thunderstorm Warning or Tornado Warning for our area, all games and practices in progress shall be stopped and all scheduled games during the duration of the warning shall be postponed If lightning is seen or thunder is heard from the ball field, the game will be stopped immediately. All coaches and players must leave the field of play and the surrounding area. Play cannot resume until 30 minutes after the last lightning sighting or sound of thunder. Weather delay time is considered game clock time and counts toward game time limits.

Please note LLGSL does not control when these lines are updated.

Updates are usually made by 3:00 pm on weekdays and 7:00 am on weekends
